DIRO Jewellers is a handmade in Kenya enterprise that designs and sells fashion accessories, mainly jewelry. Our primary raw material is Brass because it’s hypoallergenic, which means it doesn’t cause allergies. We also use other media ie horn, bone, different stones etc DIRO Jewellers is a sole proprietorship that was started 13years ago. Dianga, our CEO, then hadn’t yet gotten an opportunity to attend the university. She loved tinkering with art forms and creating different pieces. In that period DIRO Jewellers was born and registered. In the infancy stage, Diang’a was the sole crafter but the company has evolved and grown to work with 3assembly lines employing at least 18artisans in Kibera, Hawker’s Market. One of the assembly lines is female led in line with SDG number 5 that aims to reduce gender inequality. We are also passionate about promoting decent work and economic growth in line with SDG number 8. We are retailing at The Village Market, Zanta Adeyde shop opposite the Carrefour under a Made in Kenya collective under our brand name DIRO. We are also at The Hub, JEILO collections store and at Malaika Gifts and Interiors in Nakuru.
